KLUTS grew out of the former Scandinavian lunchroom Carla’s Conditorie, which the team took over in 2019. From day one, they removed meat and fish from the menu, slowly transformed every recipe, tested and reinvented each treat, survived multiple lockdowns, and welcomed a growing community of loyal guests. Within eighteen months the entire bakery was 100% vegan; six months later, even the last bit of dairy disappeared. And still people kept coming—drawn by the warmth, the generosity, and above all: the taste.

Today KLUTS is a true haven for anyone craving something sweet. The café feels like your grandmother’s living room—if your grandmother baked vegan cakes all day—and the display counter is always filled with unexpected delights. Their “verloren brood,” a clever creation made from leftover bits of cake and tart, has become a quiet cult favourite.
